Subjects Taught

I graduated from the University of Colorado in 1992 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Certification in Elementary Education. I received my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from New Mexico Highlands University in 2006. I am currently pursuing an Education Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision at Clemson University. Go Tigers!

This is my 22nd year of teaching. I began my career in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1997. During my career, I have taught kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th & 5th grade Montessori, and ESOL. I began teaching at Gallman Elementary in 2008, when I moved to Newberry with my family.

I was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia and have been fortunate to have lived in nine different states throughout my lifetime. In August, my husband, Ty, and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary. We have three sons, Dustin (31 years old), Aaron (26 years old), and Logan (21 years old). In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family watching the Clemson Tigers and Denver Broncos!

I am looking forward to a wonderful year as the Literacy Coach! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Go Gators!
